Dr Bernard Krone receives lifetime achievement award
On 23 September Dr Bernard Krone received the Emsland Business Award in recognition of his lifetime achievements. “Bernard Krone has made a lasting, positive effect on economic and social areas of Emsland life”, said Bernard Meyer on presenting the award. He has given a human face to the term "family company”. Meyer praised not only Dr Krone's successful entrepreneurial activities, but also his commitment to social and cultural causes. One organisation closely associated with the name of the lifetime achievement award winner is the Dr Bernard Krone Foundation, which supports wide-ranging projects. Dr Krone is particularly keen on nurturing young regional talent.
